BUCKHANNON, W.Va (WDTV) – The Fourth Of July is right around the corner, and authorities are reminding you to stay safe this independence day.
Some studies show over 9000 Americans were involved in fireworks related injuries. Officials told WDTV those injuries can be avoided.
“You want to remain a safe distance from your house, and trees, your neighbors don’t let young children handle fireworks, teenagers you probably want to be supervised, any used fireworks you want to soak in some water before you discard them,” said Marcus Miller, Buckhannon firefighter.
