Wildfire evacuations lifted in Larimer County [Video]

DENVER (KDVR) — A mandatory evacuation order was put in place in Larimer County on Wednesday afternoon because of a wildfire. It was lifted shortly after.

The Larimer Emergency Telephone Authority posted about the alert at 3:16 p.m. and said the immediate, mandatory evacuation order was because of the fire.

Poudre Fire Authority said in a post that multiple crews responded to the wildfire located about 8 miles north of Wellington.

By 4:23 p.m., the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said the fire burned 5 acres and was 90% contained. At 4:38 p.m., LETA announced that the evacuation order was lifted.

The fire was fully contained by about 6:12 p.m.
