Angel’s Vet Express rescues dog thrown off bridge | Top Stories [Video]

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Angel’s Vet Express received a call Sunday afternoon from the Andrew County Sheriff’s Department about a dog that had been thrown off a bridge.

The dog had been located about a mile off K Highway in Dillon Creek. It was estimated to be a 40 foot drop, but the dog was found with no broken bones yet was in critical condition.

Gary Silverglat, cofounder, said the dog is about five-years-old, light tan female pit-bull. 

“The dog’s got a tremendous load of heartworm, which is very deadly,” Silverglat said. “I don’t know if we’re going to be able to save the dog or not because of the heartworms.”

Angel’s Vet Express is offering a $1,000 reward for anyone who may know the person(s) who threw the dog in the creek. Please give them a call at 816-324-5824.
