Pittsburgh Public Safety officials rescued a woman who fell over a hillside.
Calling it a complicated rescue, Pittsburgh Police, fire and EMS arrived at the Audi Dealership on liberty avenue in the Strip District on Saturday morning around 11:30 to rescue a woman in her 30s who fell from the concrete retaining wall she was sitting on, to a hill some 40 feet below.
A rope rescue plan was developed, where they descended through the rough terrain to reach her, stabilize her and then hoist her to safety in a Stokes basket.
The woman was conscious and mildly alert when she was rescued and then transported to the hospital in stable condition.
